As we have diagnosed 8 cases of Canine Parvovirus in Stevenage during 2012, in order to help improve protection for our clients' puppies, we have decided to change our puppy vaccination regime to one more suited to higher risk areas, which will give your puppy the greatest chance of responding adequately to the vaccination.
The first vaccination will now be given at 8 weeks or later and the second vaccination at 12 weeks. We strongly recommend that certain breeds such as Rottweilers, Dobermann Pinscher, and German Shepherds, should receive a third vaccination at 16 weeks old.
Please see the link below for more information on puppy socialisation.
We will still finish vaccinations earlier for those clients who require it, but do recommend following the new regime.
