The Practice

Roebuck Veterinary Group was founded in the 1960s to serve the pet owners of Stevenage, and for the last decade has been owned and run by Alan Hughes and Liz Tilson. In 2001 they also acquired the Fairlight Centre when the previous owners retired. Alan and Liz are committed to ensuring that both surgeries provide a personal caring service for their clients.

As well as a trained and enthusiastic team of people, we also invest heavily in the latest technology to allow us to offer the best clinical service that we can.

We are fully involved with a number of local animal charities. Through our work for Wildlife Welfare we care for a large number of wildlife species each year, and assist with the work of Cats Protection and other rehoming groups.

As a practice we are fully committed to the continuing development of staff. Both centres are registered with the RCVS as Training Practices for student nurses, and some of our qualified nurses are undergoing further diploma studies. Our veterinary surgeons regularly attend courses in order to keep abreast with all the latest advances in veterinary medicine and thereby ensure that your pet receives the best possible treatment.

We have our own 24 hour Emergency Service so that if your pet requires urgent treatment outside normal hours, it will be seen by one of our own staff at one of our two centres in Stevenage.
