Insurance

There is no NHS for pets and whilst we do our utmost to keep the cost of treatment as low as we can, some treatments can be very expensive.  It is therefore sensible to take out Medical Insurance for your pet, however, not all pet medical insurance is the same and whilst better policies cover pretty much everything, others including most of the cheaper ones, just cover basic items and more is left without cover than is covered.  It is worthwhile researching this carefully before taking out a policy so that you do not find yourself badly out of pocket when your pet needs treatment.  Claims can be processed either directly (where the Insurance company pays us direct, leaving you with only any excess to pay) or indirectly where you need to pay us up front and reclaim the amount covered from your Insurance company, however it is worth noting that there are some insurance companies where we will not process direct claims.
